Rada Šešiċ
Scriptwiter, film director. Worked as a film critic and journalist for Radio-Television Sarajevo and for the film magazine Sineast. Directed several shorts and documentaries in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Specialised in South Asian cinema. In 1993 moved to The Netherlands. Lectures on Indian cinema (University of Amsterdam) and teaches at Rotterdam Film Course. Selects South Asian films for International Film Festival Rotterdam. Collaborates on the programme of  IDFA in Amsterdam. She also works for Sarajevo Film Festival as a selector of the Regional Documentary Programme and for International Kerala Film Festival (India) where she selects feature fiction films.


Jacek Bławut
Cinematographer, director & producer

Born on November the 3rd 1950 in Zagorze Slaskie. Has graduated in 1982 from the
Operator’s Department of the National School of Film, Television and Theatre
(PWSTiF) in Lodz. Lectured in film schools in Berlin, Hanover, Torun (Camerimage
Film School) and Warsaw (Andrzej Wajda’s Master School for Film Directors). From
1992 to 1994 co-editor of the magazine "Film in the World". From 2003 member of
the European Film Academy. Currently lectures at Andrzej Wajda’s Master School for
Film Directing.

Steven Seidenberg
Producer

Steven Seidenberg has worked in documentary television since 1983. He has wide experience in several documentary genres, working in history programming (The Trial of George Washington and Hitler's Death: The Final Report), the sciences (A Brief History of Time, with Stephen Hawking, directed by Errol Morris, for TV and cinema release), examinations of ethical issues (Hypotheticals, with Arthur Miller) as well as co-devising and series producing DVcam reality formats (the 12-part Nights Out at the Empire for Channel 4 and the 26-part travel-adventure series The $100 Taxi Ride for National Geographic).
Steven works increasingly in Asia where recent projects include directing Seoul Searching for Discovery Asia, Inside the Forbidden City for National Geographic Channels International, programmes on the recent cinema of Iran and China for Discovery Asia’s series Cinema Asia and a three-part history of Beijing for BBC Worldwide. When not script-doctoring other people’s programmes Steven’s main activities are as a freelance development producer and executive producer.


Maria Zmarz-Koczanowicz
director

Polish film director and screenwriter. Graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the
Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (1978) and the department of Radio and Television
at the University of Silesia in Katowice (1982).
Lecturer at the National Film School in Łod. Creator of dozens of documentaries and
TV theater productions, as well as the social comedy “Kraj _wiata”.

Dorota Roszkowska, Poland

Member of the Executive Committee of the EDN (European Documentary Network), member of the EFA (European Film Academy), Vice-President of the Future of Media International Association, as well as founding member of the New Horizons Association organizing the Film Festival in Wroclaw. She runs the independent company Arkana Studio based in Warsaw, organizes international documentary film workshops and pitching Dragon Forum. Graduated from the University of Warsaw, Department of Polish Philology. She also studied TV production at the Media Academy in Hilversum, Netherlands. In the period of 1997-2002 she worked as Commissioning Editor in the Department of Culture at the Polish Television.

Regulations
The Dragon Forum in Kiev. Intarnational Documentary Workshop will take place in Kyiv, Ukraine  from March, 28 till April, 1 2010 during the 7th Docudays Ua, Human Rights  International Film Festival.
The International Documentary Workshop is addressed to filmmakers from the former Soviet Union countries who want to prepare and develop their projects for international documentary film co-production.
The best projects will be invited at the final pitching of the Dragon Forum 2010, which takes place  at the 50th Krakow Film Festival. For the pitching session the buyers an commissioning editors from the main European and world-wide TV stations are invited, to evaluate the projects and decide about the purchase.
The classes are held in small groups hosted by  international experts, documentary filmmakers.
One project can be represented by maximum 3 people (scriptwriter, director, producer). 
Participants receive the catalog with the information materials (list of contacts, projects, information about tutors, experts and cooperating institutions, other). The workshop consists of common analysis of the projects, discussion over form and message, screenings visual materials, consultations of the production and financial plan, preparation for the pitching, pre-pitching.
There are no limits of age and the film-oriented education is not required.
The Selection Committee will qualify participants solely on the grounds of the received application forms along with the required attachments. The decision made by the director is definite and it is not possible to appeal. The full applications consists of:

Production information ( 1 page);
Curriculum vitae of the principal creative team and producer’s profile  (with photos) (max. 2 pages);
Plan of financing and estimated budget (max. 2 pages)
The trailer (max. 3 min, exclusevely on DVD, with English subtitles) or photos;
The training at the workshop for those whose projects have qualified for Dragon Forum in Kiev is free of charge.
The participants will by themselves cover their travel expenses and accommodation costs during their stay at the Dragon Forum in Kyiv.
Russian and English will the official language of workshops.The projects should be submitted both in the Russian and in English.

The selection committee will inform applicants of its decision no later than 1st of March 2010.
Sending an application for participation in the Dragon Forum in Kyiv means that the applicant agrees that the Internationa Documentary Workshop organizers have right to process and exploit his or her personal data, image and information on a given project for the purposes connected with the Itnternational Dcumentary Workshop and the Dragon Forum pitching.
